Large forces of the Israel Police and Border Police are operating to evacuate hundreds of people who arrived at Mount Meron, in violation of the guidelines. The forces are acting with determination to prevent attempts to infiltrate the complex.

The operational effort is designed first and foremost to protect the safety of citizens. We call on the public to show responsibility, to celebrate Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai’s pilgrimage safely at home and within communities, and not to approach the checkpoint area. The forces are deployed on the traffic routes throughout the coming days, and entry will only be permitted to authorized individuals.
