Four suspects were arrested this morning in connection with the theft of thousands of cartons of smuggled cigarettes, valued at an estimated NIS 26 million. Among those arrested is a warehouse worker.
The tax value that was supposed to be paid for the cigarettes is estimated at approximately 26 million NIS. All suspects, residents of Ashdod, were arrested for further investigation, and according to the development of the investigation, they will be brought today for a discussion on extending their arrest at the Ashkelon Magistrate’s Court.
