Immediately after identification, IDF forces and fighters from the MAGEN unit of the Southern District conducted a pursuit, at the end of which a smuggler was arrested along with all-terrain vehicles and drone equipment. The forces operating at the scene located 12 handguns in the vehicles. The suspect who was arrested and the handguns were transferred for further treatment by the Southern District Major Crimes Unit.

Following a pursuit, Southern District Police officers and IDF soldiers thwarted a weapons smuggling attempt in the eastern border area. Air Force observation posts and the Dead Sea Joint Operations Center forces identified an attempt to smuggle weapons yesterday.
