Following a covert investigation by Northern District police officers, a resident of Meron, who serves as a rabbi in one of the communities in the north, was arrested overnight.

Northern District police arrested a Meron resident, a local rabbi, overnight following a covert investigation into alleged offenses.

Crime

Upon receiving the complaint, a covert investigation was opened, during which various investigative actions were carried out to collect findings and evidence, which led tonight to the arrest of the suspect. As the investigation moved to the open stage, the suspect (54), a resident of Meron, who serves as a rabbi in one of the local communities, was arrested and transferred for investigation at the police station, where he is being questioned on suspicion of the offenses attributed to him. Subsequently, and in accordance with the development of the investigation and its findings, the suspect will be brought before the court with a request to extend his detention.
