Following a pursuit, forces from the Coastal District arrested him. As part of an initiative enforcement operation by the Iron police officers, a police officer and a volunteer instructed a vehicle driver to stop for inspection. The driver ignored the officers’ instructions, began to flee while driving recklessly and dangerously, during which he hit and ran over a police volunteer. The volunteer sustained minor injuries and was evacuated for medical treatment. Israel Police forces from the Baka al-Gharbiyya station initiated a pursuit of the vehicle, and following a swift operation, the suspect was arrested at a roadblock set up by Border Police fighters from the Coastal District and detained for investigation at the police station.
