Attempted car theft foiled moments before it was to be transferred to Judea and Samaria. During routine activity, an officer from the Jerusalem District identified a vehicle that aroused his suspicion.

A quick check revealed that the vehicle was stolen shortly before from the city of Bat Yam. The suspect in the vehicle noticed the police officers and began to flee, driving recklessly, committing serious traffic offenses and endangering road users. The stolen vehicle was stopped after it collided with another vehicle in its lane of travel. Fortunately, the incident ended without any casualties. The suspect, an illegal resident from the northern Samaria region, was arrested and brought in for questioning.
