19 Arrested in Weapons Smuggling Operation, 10 Drones and 10 M16 Rifles Seized
Israel Police arrested 19 suspects and seized 10 drones and 10 M16 rifles in Bir Hadaj, a Bedouin town in the Negev, in a weapons smuggling operation.
Jerusalem, 16 April, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The Israel Police on Thursday seized ten drones suspected of being used for smuggling weapons into Israel and ten M16 rifles in Bir Hadaj, a Bedouin town in the Negev. The police also arrested 19 suspects.
Many other means were also seized that were suspected of being used for smuggling and criminal infrastructure and five greenhouses for growing cannabis were destroyed, and seven demolition orders were executed.
