Jerusalem, 20 November, 2025 (TPS-IL) — A former senior health system official, a Jerusalem resident in his 40s, who served in managerial positions in the healthcare sector, is suspected of a series of serious offenses that harmed public safety and health.

The Israel Police said that, according to suspicion, he forged over 100 entry permits to Israel for Palestinians residing illegally, while presenting them as patients in need of medical treatment. In this way, he brought dozens of people into Israel fraudulently, without supervision, in violation of the law and at a real risk to human life.

It is also alleged that after ending his position in the Civil Administration, the suspect continued to commit offenses in the healthcare sector, this time engaging in the trade in over-the-counter medications, including dangerous medications, and forged prescription certificates and doctors’ signatures in order to further his criminal activity.
