Jerusalem, 9 October, 2025 (TPS-IL) — The Israel Defense Forces warned Palestinians in the Gaza Strip not to return to Gaza City on Thursday morning. The warning followed Thursday morning announcement that Israel and Hamas had finalized an agreement to end the war in Gaza and return all 48 hostages.

“The area north of the Gaza Valley is still considered a dangerous combat zone,” the IDF’s Arabic-language spokesperson, Col. Avichay Adraee, tweeted. Israeli forces “continue to surround Gaza City, where returning to it is extremely dangerous.”

Adraee called on Palestinians not to travel to the northern Strip or areas where the troops are stationed. until official instructions are issued.
