Jerusalem, 12 May, 2025 (TPS-IL) — The Palestinian Islamic Jihad terror group claims Jordan rejected the body of Moatassem Radad, a Palestinian prisoner of Jordanian origin who died of cancer in Egypt last week. Radad was released earlier this year in a hostage swap and intended to be buried in Jordan with his family. However, after his body arrived at Amman’s airport, Jordanian authorities sent it back to Egypt.

Radad, originally from the Palestinian village of Seida, served a 20-year sentence in Israel for security offenses.

This is not the first time Jordan has refused to accept prisoners released by Israel in hostage deals, even those holding Jordanian citizenship.
