Jerusalem, 28 August, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Israeli customs officials at Ben Gurion Airport intercepted a passenger attempting to smuggle 30,000 Viagra pills worth roughly NIS 600,000 ($180,000), the Tax Authority said Thursday.

The suspect, Moshe Levy, a resident of Kiryat Ata returning from India, tried to pass through the green lane with two suitcases concealing the unapproved pills. Officials said the drugs were intended for distribution and posed a public health risk. Levy has a history of similar offenses, having been caught last April attempting to smuggle the same pills.

Levey was released under restrictive conditions and had his passport revoked for 180 days.
