Jerusalem, 22 May, 2025 (TPS-IL) — On the occasion of Jerusalem Day Monday and the anniversary of the unification of the city, over 15,000 students from all over the country – religious and secular, veterans and new immigrants – will descend on the capital of Israel. Together, they will walk in the footsteps of history, connect with the national heritage, and experience Jerusalem – the eternal capital of the Jewish people.

From the morning onwards, the students set out on an experiential journey through the city, with diverse tours of the centers of heritage and history: from the Hanatziv Palace and the Seam Line, through the Nahlaot neighborhoods, Ammunition Hill and the municipal line, to the “From Lampstand to Lampstand” route – from the Knesset to the Jewish Quarter.

During the day, they will take part in meetings with guides and in value-based discussion circles that will give them the opportunity to connect with the stories of the warriors, builders and dreamers who made Jerusalem the united city of the State of Israel.

In the afternoon, the students will continue to the Old City, walk through the alleys of the Jewish Quarter, and reach the climax of the day – a visit to the Western Wall, a remnant of the Temple and the heart of our historical and spiritual identity.

The day will conclude with a central youth rally to be held at the Sultan’s Pool, in the presence of Education Minister Yoav Kish, the ministry’s director general Meir Shimoni and other public figures.
