Jerusalem, 11 March, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israeli authorities seized approximately 4.5 tons of unsupervised dairy products from a Hebron dairy in a crackdown on smuggling from the Palestinian Authority.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security’s Central Enforcement and Investigations Unit also confiscated around 600 kilograms of beef transported without refrigeration or veterinary oversight and 4,500 eggs with fake kosher-for-Passover stamps. Trucks and private vehicles used in the smuggling were intercepted in southern Israel and at crossings.
The supermarket owner and a truck driver were detained and the produce was destroyed.
