Jerusalem, 10 March, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Agriculture Ministry inspectors and Israel Police rescued 20 small-breed dogs from severe neglect at an illegal breeding facility in the Jadeidi-Makr area of northern Israel, officials said. The dogs were found crammed into small cages, some lying in their own waste, in what authorities suspect was a “puppy mill” used to breed animals for sale.
Several dogs showed signs of untreated medical problems, including skin conditions and scars, and one female had recently given birth. The animals were transferred to a protected government facility for treatment and rehabilitation. The site’s owners were summoned for questioning.
