Naftali Bennett Ordered to Remove Military Images from Campaign Video
Naftali Bennett must remove IDF soldier images from his campaign video after the Elections Committee ruled it an improper use of public assets.
Jerusalem, 20 August, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The chairman of the Central Elections Committee ordered former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett to remove images of IDF (Israel Defense Forces) soldiers from a campaign video he posted.
The chairman of the Elections Committee determined, among other things, that the sections in question contain IDF assets, and link the IDF and its activities to the video’s messages, and that this is not a marginal part of the video. Therefore, the use of public assets in connection with election propaganda was proven. Since their use is limited to those sections and is intended only for visual illustration, it was decided that they should be removed from the video, and not the entire video.
Bennett left politics after the elections of 2022, but is now running again for the Knesset as the leader of a new party.
