Jerusalem, 28 April, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Defense Minister Israel Katz released a statement Tuesday evening declaring that the “law for Southern Lebanon as the law for Gaza,” meaning that Israel will act in both areas in the same manner.
The statement came after the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) destroyed an underground Hezbollah Terror infrastructure in Qantara, Lebanon, inside of Israel’s new security zone there.
“The Lebanese government and the Lebanese army have pledged to free southern Lebanon from Hezbollah terrorists and weapons, and these are the results,” said Katz.
Katz added that he and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu instructed the IDF to “destroy every terror infrastructure in the security zone up to the yellow line, below and above ground, just like in Gaza – in order to remove threats from the residents of the Galilee.”
“(The late former Hezbollah leader) Nasrallah destroyed the Shiite community in Lebanon, and (current Hezbollah leader) Naim Qassem is now bringing about the destruction of its homes and villages,” he declared.
