Further to publications concerning police officers’ participation in the program “The Patriots” – we note that this involves inviting police officers, Border Police fighters, and representatives of additional emergency and rescue forces, including the Fire and Rescue Services,

We clarify, beyond what is necessary, that the invitation for police participation received from Channel 14 was transferred for examination by all relevant professional bodies in the Police and was approved by them. We emphasize that the event has also taken place in the past without any exceptions and without political discourse. We can only regret the biased and misleading presentation of matters by a reporter, who made cynical use of expressions of thanks and appreciation to the security and rescue forces, and who chose to ignore the fact that this involved the participation of several security and rescue bodies, for reasons known to him.
