Recently, Haniyeh attempted to recruit new terrorists to the ranks of the terrorist organization and also led theoretical training for the Nukhba battalion under his command. Haniyeh commanded a raid by a terrorist cell into Israeli territory on October 7th and even raided the territory himself. In this context, he was involved in directing and conveying instructions to a terrorist cell while they kidnapped Israeli civilians into the Gaza Strip. Walid Haniyeh was the nephew of Ismail Haniyeh, the former chairman of the political bureau of the Hamas terrorist organization. IDF forces under the Southern Command are deployed in the area according to the agreement and will continue to operate to remove any threat.
