Jerusalem, 25 June, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The financial closure for the construction of an integrated storage solar facility in Ashalim, south of Be’er Sheva in the Negev, with a capacity of 150 megawatts, using photovoltaic technology, has been completed. The project will be built in the Plot A solar thermal power plant complex and will also include an advanced storage component
The facility adds to a number of renewable energy facilities that were promoted by the Accountant General’s Department in the region, and after its establishment, all projects in the region are expected to provide over 800 megawatts of renewable energy to the electricity grid, assist in supplying production in the electricity sector in accordance with demand, and, as stated, contribute to meeting national goals for electricity production from renewable energies.
