Jerusalem, 7 July, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israeli technology companies Innoviz Technologies and Cogniteam announced Tuesday a partnership to develop an artificial intelligence-powered system for detecting and classifying drones. The platform combines Innoviz’s three-dimensional laser-based sensing technology, known as LiDAR, with Cogniteam’s AI analytics software to identify aerial threats and reduce false alarms.

The system is designed for security applications including border surveillance, critical infrastructure protection and perimeter defense. Innoviz develops advanced sensing technology for automotive and security uses, while Cogniteam specializes in AI and robotics platforms.
