Jerusalem, 25 June, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Over 300 young men and women from Ashkelon took part yesterday (Wednesday) at the municipal Youth employment fair, held by the Ashkelon Municipality, through the Youth Department in the Culture, Youth and Sports Division, at Yad Labanim Plaza.

During the fair, the young people met dozens of employers from the city and the surrounding area, were exposed to a wide range of jobs in the food, retail, services and leisure sectors, applied directly and were given the opportunity to start working during the summer vacation or in the coming year.

The fair is designed to help young men and women take their first steps in the world of employment, gain practical experience, develop a sense of responsibility and independence and get to know the labor market up close. Along with the direct connection between employers and job seekers, the event also strengthened the connection between local businesses and the city’s young generation of workers.
