Hamas Commander Who Was Plotting New Terror Attacks Eliminated in Gaza Air Strike

Jerusalem, 1 July, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The IDF (Israel Defense Forces) reported that Yesterday (Tuesday), in an aerial strike in the southern Gaza Strip, it eliminated Adel Jahad Muhammad Asfour, a Hamas squad commander.

The IDF said Asfour was advancing terror plans in the immediate timeframe and that, throughout the war, he advanced sniper plans and IED (improvised explosive devices) placements against its forces operating in the Gaza Strip.
