Court Approves Transfer of 11 Flotilla Vessels o Israeli Government
Haifa District Court approves state's request, transferring 11 seized flotilla vessels to Israeli government ownership following owner's non-response.
Jerusalem, 24 May, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The Haifa District Court, sitting as a maritime court, accepted the State’s request and ordered the transfer of 11 vessels seized as part of the “Somod” flotilla to the ownership of the > 🇮🇱🇦🇷”>State of Israel. These are vessels that attempted to violate the maritime blockade as part of a large-scale flotilla That Was stopped by the Navy in October 2025, and whose owners did not respond to the confiscation request for about six months.
Judge Ron Sokol accepted the state’s position that the vessel owners did not appear for the proceedings despite knowing about it. “There is no doubt that the seizure of the vessels is known to their owners, both due to the extensive publicity that accompanied their seizure and due to the fact that the vessels have been held by the state for more than six months.”
