This is good news for the city of Eilat, Kibbutz Eilot, the surrounding area, and for the tourists who visit the region throughout the year, especially during the holiday period we are currently in. “Throughout the war, the Home Front Command has been conducting continuous learning and improvement processes and is constantly working to improve the response to the citizens of the State of Israel. These steps now allow for an extension of the defense time for the city of Eilat, the Shacharit industrial zone, and Kibbutz Eilot, which belongs to the Eilot Regional Council, from 30 seconds of defense time to a minute and a half. The change was presented to the Mayor of Eilat, Eli Lankri, and to the Head of the Eilot Regional Council, Hanan Ginat, by the Home Front Command. The extension of the defense time will take effect within the next 24 hours, and an update will be issued upon its completion. Out of a deep commitment to civilian security and improving defense capabilities, the Home Front Command, in cooperation with the Southern Command and the Air Force, has completed a professional process to extend the defense time in the city of Eilat and Kibbutz Eilot. As part of the process, a team of experts was established that examined the systems and capabilities, and led a series of operational and technological adjustments.
