IDF thwarts threats, finds dozens of weapons in southern Lebanon
IDF forces found dozens of weapons and thwarted threats in southern Lebanon, including attacking a Hezbollah surveillance post and finding explosives and.
In recent days, dozens of weapons have been located in the area. Earlier today, IDF Division 98 forces attacked a surveillance post at a launch site belonging to the Hezbollah terrorist organization in the Kounine area, south of the forward defense line. The targeted surveillance post posed a direct threat to the forces operating in the area. As part of operations by the Golani Brigade forces in the area, caches of weapons were located, including: explosives, Kalashnikov rifles, grenades, RPG rockets, and combat equipment. Additionally, Nahal Brigade forces located weapons, an anti-tank missile, and combat equipment in the Rashaf area in the last 24 hours. Furthermore, the Hezbollah terrorist organization has once again flagrantly violated the ceasefire agreement and launched explosive drones towards IDF forces operating south of the forward defense line, in the Kantara area of southern Lebanon. The drones exploded near the forces. There were no casualties among our forces. IDF forces will continue to operate to remove threats to the citizens of the State of Israel in the forward defense line area.
