IDF operation in Bint Jbeil, which served as Hezbollah’s terror stronghold

During Operation ‘Lion’s Roar’, a joint encirclement by forces of the 98th and 91st Divisions was carried out on the terror villages of Bint Jbeil and Ayntaa.

Forces of the 98th Division entered the town and achieved operational control in just about a week. The forces worked to destroy terror infrastructure, neutralize the threat of anti-tank missiles, and eliminate terrorists. The division’s forces have completed their mission and are now operating in other sectors.

Concurrently, forces of the 91st Division entered the area to establish and strengthen operational control, and today continue their activity to complete the destruction of remaining terror infrastructure, and to fully clear the area, with the aim of removing threats to the State of Israel.

The town of Bint Jbeil served as a terror stronghold and a historical symbol of Hezbollah, from which hundreds of terror activities against IDF forces and civilians of the State of Israel were planned and carried out.
