Fighters from the Givati Brigade, under the command of Division 91, continue their focused ground operation in southern Lebanon.
During an operation by the brigade’s fighters to locate weapons in the area, the forces identified several armed terrorists from Hezbollah’s ‘Radwan Force’ unit who were planning to fire an anti-tank missile at the forces. Additionally, the terrorists had established an anti-tank position and were planning to advance firing plans towards northern communities.
Shortly after identification, the forces apprehended the terrorists after they surrendered and located numerous weapons and munitions. During the night, the forces destroyed the structure from which the terrorists operated.
The terrorists surrendered after identifying extensive IDF activity in the area to destroy terror infrastructure.
From an initial investigation by 504 interrogators, it emerges that the terrorists arrived from the Beqaa Valley to southern Lebanon at the beginning of Operation ‘Lion’s Roar’. This is contrary to the claims of the Lebanese army regarding operational control south of the Litani River. This case proves once again that the Lebanese army has failed and did not prevent the passage of terrorists and weapons south of the Litani River.
