Prior to the ceasefire agreement taking effect, the 769th Brigade Combat Team, under the command of Division 91 and in cooperation with the Air Force, completed an operation in the village of Debin, approximately 12 kilometers deep inside Lebanon.
During the operation, forces from the Tzabar Battalion raided a Hezbollah staging area in the village where terrorist activity was identified, along with intelligence indications of attempts to carry out terror attacks against our forces and civilians of the State of Israel.
Within a few hours, more than 70 targets were attacked and more than 20 terrorists were eliminated in close-quarters combat and from the air.
The IDF will continue to operate with determination to remove threats, maintain the security of the citizens of the State of Israel, and strengthen the forward defense.
