Haifa-Area Hospitals Begin Gradual Return Above Ground After Month Underground
Haifa-area hospitals like Rambam, Bnei Zion, and Carmel General are gradually returning above ground after a month of underground operations, following Home.
Jerusalem, 12 April, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Haifa-area hospitals have been cleared to gradually resume activities to above ground after more than one month of working underground, the Health Ministry announced.
“Rambam, Bnei Zion, and Carmel General Hospitals are carrying out the process in a phased and controlled manner, while maintaining readiness and the ability to return to ground within a few hours, as needed,” the ministry said.
The ministry added that the move is in accordance with Home Front Command guidelines.
