Health System Preparedness – Operation “Roaring Lion” Update

Operation Roaring Lion has seen 2,072 injured evacuated to hospitals, with 155 remaining hospitalized as of March 8, 2026.

As of Sunday, March 8, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., the Ministry of Health reports that since the start of Operation Roaring Lion, 2,072 injured people have been evacuated to hospitals.
Currently, 155 people remain hospitalized or in emergency departments:

  • 9 in serious condition
  • 42 in moderate condition
  • 98 in mild condition
  • 3 with traumatic stress
  • 4 under medical evaluation
