Bundeswehr Recognizes Israeli Role in $6.7 Billion Missile Defense Deal

The German Bundeswehr awarded the Cross of Honor to Israeli Defense Ministry officials Moshe Patel and Col. R. for their leadership in the $6.7 billion Arrow-3.

Jerusalem, 28 April, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The German Bundeswehr has awarded the Cross of Honor to two senior officials from Israel’s Defense Ministry for their role in advancing German-Israeli Defense cooperation.

Honored for their leadership in bringing the Arrow-3 missile defense system to Germany as part of a $6.7 billion defense export agreement were Moshe Patel, head of the Israel Missile Defense Organization (IMDO), and Col. R., head of the IMDO’s Upper Tier Division.
