Major General Itzik Cohen resigns immediately, with Colonel A' stepping in as interim head of the Operations Division.
Until a replacement is appointed, the head of the Planning Division in the Operations Directorate, Colonel A’, will fill his place. The Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir, approved the request for his immediate resignation, so he will be discharged from service immediately.
