The suspect gave the key to his friend, another suspect (Kiryat Malakhi, 39) who was documented by security cameras as he moved between hotel floors, impersonating a maintenance worker, entering 26 different rooms, from which he stole cash, credit cards, bags, and personal belongings of hotel guests. After the thefts, the two suspects arrived together at various stores throughout Eilat, where they allegedly made several purchases using the credit cards stolen from the hotel rooms. During the arrest by detectives from the Eilat district, a suitcase was found in possession of one of them containing a large amount of property suspected to be stolen, including checkbooks, a wallet, a mobile phone, personal documents, and bottles of alcohol. This is a series of incidents that occurred over a period of time, and it is being examined whether there are additional unreported or undiscovered cases. Both suspects are already separately involved in several additional investigations for property offenses, burglary, and use of a stolen credit card. An indictment will be filed against the suspect who committed the thefts from the guest rooms.
