Three suspects were arrested following several incidents of agricultural theft in the Mateh Yehuda region over the past month. A covert investigation was conducted by the Mateh Yehuda station of the Jerusalem Border Police.

Last Wednesday, detectives from the station, along with Border Police fighters from Judea and Samaria, arrested a suspect (a resident of the village of Surif, in his 30s) after evidence was gathered linking him, according to suspicion, to agricultural thefts. The following day, on Thursday, following intelligence received about the presence of the cell leader in Israeli territory, forces, in cooperation with the National Guard South in the Border Police and the aerial unit, prepared for an operation during which another suspect was arrested. The cell leader began to flee from the forces and was arrested after a pursuit. In addition, a vehicle with forged license plates was seized, which, according to suspicion, was used by the cell members to carry out agricultural thefts.
