Three Israeli Citizens Indicted for Selling Weapons to Terrorist Killer of Haim Kalomiti
Three Israeli citizens have been indicted for selling weapons to terrorist Omar Yassin, who killed Sgt. Haim Kalomiti and wounded five others.
Jerusalem, 5 July, 2026 (TPS-IL) — An indictment was filed last week against three Israeli citizens who were involved in selling weapons to terrorist Omar Yassin who, on June 7, carried out attacks in Kochav Yair and Tzur Natan during which he killed reserve Sergeant Haim Kalomiti and wounded five other people.
From the indictment it emerges that there was prior acquaintance between the terrorist and the defendants, among other things on the basis of weapons and drug trafficking. Approximately two weeks before the deadly attack, one of the defendants sold the terrorist a Carlo rifle for 5,000 Shekels at a gas station in Baqa al-Gharbiya, while the second defendant participated in the payment for it.
