The Shin Bet and Northern District arrested a resident of Nazareth who tried to enlist in Hamas and advance terrorist activity, including harming a minister in the government, in a joint operation by the General Security Service and the YAMAM (Special Operations Unit) of the Northern District.

During his interrogation, it was found that he approached the Hamas terrorist organization with the aim of enlisting and receiving resources to advance terrorist activity, and he also planned to harm a serving minister in the government. At the end of the investigation, the Northern District Attorney’s Office filed a statement of prosecution with the court this morning, in preparation for filing an indictment.
