Police officers from the Coastal District Special Patrol Unit uncovered an extortion scheme in Haifa. As part of an investigation conducted by the Coastal District Special Patrol Unit, it was suspected that criminals attempted to take over a property in Haifa that did not belong to them.

In order to apprehend the suspects in real-time, undercover detectives from the YAMAM (Special Operations Unit) disguised themselves as maintenance workers and arrived at the building in question. During this, the suspects made threats towards them and revealed weapons. During the encounter between the parties, the undercover detectives leaped upon the suspects and carried out their arrest. Following an investigation, a serious indictment was filed against two suspects for extortion and threats.
