Man Killed in Afula Car Explosion, Police Suspect Criminal Motive
A man in his 30s was killed in a car explosion in Afula early Tuesday, with police suspecting a criminal motive for the incident.
Jerusalem, 26 May, 2026 (TPS-IL) — A man in his 30s was killed early Tuesday in Afula when an explosion tore through his car, in an incident police believe may be criminal.
Magen David Adom (MDA) reported arriving to a scene where a vehicle was engulfed in flames and debris was scattered into the roadway.
They found the man outside the car in critical condition, at the side of the burning vehicle, with no signs of life, and immediately began resuscitation efforts including chest compressions.
He was evacuated to HaEmek Medical Center while CPR continued, but was pronounced dead during transport.
