Jerusalem, 3 May, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israeli Police arrested 21 suspects accused of attempting to bring a sacrificial goat onto Jerusalem’s Temple Mount, the authorities announced on Sunday.

Police said the group tried to force its way through one of entrances to the holy site on Friday “with the goal of bringing a baby goat onto the grounds of the Mount, thereby disrupting public order.”

Friday marked “Pesach Sheni” or Second Passover, a holiday from Biblical times offering a second opportunity for people who were unable to bring the Paschal offering during Passover.
