Investigation into the suspected murder in Hazor HaGelilit – Northern District police officers arrested a suspect in a stabbing. Tonight, a report was received at the police hotline regarding a violent incident in Hazor HaGelilit.

Northern District police arrested a 28-year-old suspect in the stabbing death of a 16-year-old in Hazor HaGelilit, finding the alleged murder weapon.

Crime

Police forces from the Northern District arrived at the scene and observed a minor (16) being evacuated from the scene in critical condition after he was allegedly stabbed, and later that night his death was pronounced at the hospital. Following investigation by Northern District officers, the suspect in the stabbing, a resident of Hazor Hagalilit (28), was arrested, as was another suspect on suspicion of obstructing an investigation. During searches at the scene, the knife with which the murder was allegedly committed was found, along with several other findings. The investigation of the incident was assigned to the Crime Fighting Unit (Yal”p) of the Kinneret Subdistrict. In accordance with the police’s request, the suspects’ arrest was extended by the Magistrate’s Court.
