Earlier this morning, a vehicle arrived from the direction of Judea and Samaria towards a gate near the Qalandia crossing, attempting to enter Israeli territory.
Border Police opened fire near Qalandia crossing after vehicle occupants attacked officers & attempted weapon seizure; two injured.
Border Police fighters who approached to check the identity of the vehicle’s occupants were attacked, and there was an attempt to seize their weapons. In response, the fighters opened fire in accordance with the law and police procedures. Two of the vehicle’s occupants, who sustained minor injuries, were evacuated for medical treatment. The circumstances of the incident are being investigated.
