Following identification, the drone was intercepted while carrying several handguns. Over the past few months, four Israeli citizens, along with another individual residing in Judea and Samaria, were arrested on suspicion of involvement in a weapons smuggling infrastructure. Two of the suspects were arrested in real-time during a smuggling attempt, with 10 handguns and 10 matching magazines in their possession. The suspects, four residents of the Negev: Wahel Alsaraia, Madian Alsaraia, Zaid Abu Gwaied, and Ali Alsaraia, as well as Nizar Nagada, a resident of Yatta in Judea and Samaria. Their investigation revealed that they were involved in several smuggling operations from the Jordanian border using drones, during which they smuggled approximately 44 handguns into Israeli territory and about 120 kg of dangerous hashish drugs into Jordanian territory. The investigation also revealed that some of the smuggled weapons, including M-16 rifles and ammunition, were sold to an individual residing in Judea and Samaria, and from there were distributed in the area through him. At the end of their investigation, indictments were filed against them.
