60 Kilos of Drugs Seized as Israeli Forces Thwart Smuggling Attempt
Israeli security forces confiscated 60 kg of drugs destined for Jordan, apprehending a 39-year-old suspect in the Emek HaMa’ayon region.
Jerusalem, 20 May, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israeli security forces seized approximately 60 kilograms of drugs being smuggled to Jordan, the Israel Police said.
The suspect, a 39-year-old resident of southern Israel, was identified collecting packages in the Emek HaMa’ayon area, driving to the border fence and dumping them outside Israeli territory.
Border Police forces recovered the drugs and arrested the suspect.
