Jerusalem, 13 August, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s National Council of Construction and Housing recommended the adoption of a plan of the Ministry of Construction and Housing and the Settlement Division to establish six new towns on Route 25 between Dimona and Beer Sheva, in the northern Negev.

A new area will be based on these six new municipalities, and an advanced regional center is planned in its place that will serve all the populations that will live in the area, as part of the government’s policy to disperse the population, strengthen the periphery, and establish settlement in the Negev.

The plan includes components of infrastructure development, increasing the supply of housing, strengthening the local economy, and regulating Bedouin settlement in the Negev.
