Ministry of Economy Launches National Campaign to Recruit Workers for Israeli Industries

Ministry of Economy launches national campaign to recruit workers for Israeli industries, addressing shortage of manpower and promoting advanced technologies

Jerusalem, 30 November, 2025 (TPS-IL) — The Ministry of Economy and Industry and the Israel Federation of Manufacturers are launching a new national campaign today designed to address one of the main challenges of the Israeli economy: the shortage of quality manpower in industry. The campaign presents industry as an advanced, stable and innovative sector, and calls on the younger generation to join the tens of thousands of open jobs and be part of the growth engine of the Israeli economy.

The new campaign emphasizes new ways of thinking and appeals to young audiences who have not yet been exposed to the diversity and significance that the industry offers. It presents the industry as home to the professions of the future: working with advanced technologies, using robotics and artificial intelligence, smart production lines, managing advanced systems, and real opportunities for a long and rewarding career path.

The Ministry of Economy stated Israeli industry is a solid foundation for the economy as it constitutes “one of the country’s significant sources of income from direct and indirect taxes” and currently employs about half a million people.

It is also responsible for over 90% of Israel’s exports of goods – a critical component in strengthening the balance of payments and positioning the image of Israel and the Israeli economy in the world – and produces high productivity, growth, innovation and leads technologies that Israel is identified with in the international arena.

Despite all of this, the industry is facing a shortage of approximately 15,000 workers, from professional production workers to industrial engineers, technicians, advanced machine operators, logistics workers, industrial control and computing personnel, industrial designers, and more.
