Jerusalem, 19 October, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Israeli AI company Techsomed is partnering with U.S. medical device giant Medtronic to pilot a new system for treating tumors with Image Guided Ablation Therapy. The project combines Techsomed’s BioTraceIO360™ software with Medtronic’s Emprint™ microwave ablation system to help doctors plan and track treatments more accurately.

The system gives interventional radiologists real-time imaging, better control over tumor margins, and guidance throughout the procedure. By improving visibility and workflow, it aims to reduce the need for repeat treatments and improve patient outcomes.

Techsomed CEO Yossi Abu said the collaboration seeks to “set a new standard for minimally invasive tumor treatment.”
