Jerusalem, 19 August, 2025 (TPS-IL) — The Foreign Ministry announced new ambassadorial appointments pending government approval.

Oded Joseph, deputy director general and head of the Middle East and Peace Process Division, was named Israel’s next ambassador to Russia. Joseph has previously served in Kenya, Uganda, Malawi, Seychelles, Moscow, Washington, and Singapore.

Cobi Yanovsky, director of the Gulf States Department and former head of the ministry’s cadet training course, was appointed ambassador to Slovakia. He previously held posts in Tokyo and Chengdu, China.
