Jerusalem, 16 October, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) released the data on the “Consumer Price Indexes – September 2024.”
The Consumer price index decreased by 0.6% in September 2025, compared to August 2025, reaching an index level of 103.6 points (base: average 2024=100.0 points). The Consumer price index excluding vegetables and fruits and the Consumer Price Index excluding energy also decreased by 0.6%, reaching an index level of 103.8 points, each. The Consumer Price Index excluding housing decreased by 0.8%, reaching an index level of 102.9 points.
Notable price declines were recorded in the following categories: fresh fruit, which fell by 3.2%, culture and entertainment, which fell by 2.4%, transportation and communication, which fell by 2.2%, food, which fell by 0.5%, clothing and footwear, which fell by 0.3%, and tenant-owned housing services and apartment maintenance, which fell by 0.2%, each.
Notable price increases were recorded in the following categories: fresh vegetables, which rose by 3.5%, rent and healthcare, which rose by 0.3%, each.
Since the beginning of the year, the CPI rose by 2.6%, the CPI excluding vegetables and fruits and the CPI excluding energy rose by 2.7%, each, and the CPI excluding housing rose by 2.2%.
In the last twelve months (September 2025 compared to September 2024), the Consumer Price Index increased by 2.5%. The Consumer Price Index excluding vegetables and fruits increased by 2.9%, the Consumer Price Index excluding energy increased by 2.6%, and the Consumer Price Index excluding housing increased by 1.9%.
