Breaking News

Jerusalem, 29 July, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Communications Ministry announced a major cut in wholesale fiber infrastructure prices, aiming to lower consumer costs and expand nationwide internet access. Minister of Communications Dr. Shlomo Kari said prices for key services will drop by 30–40%, calling it a “consumer revolution” that will bring fast, affordable internet to the Negev, Galilee, and Judea and Samaria.

The new model, crafted with international consultants, incentivizes independent infrastructure and limits major providers’ reliance on Bezeq’s network by 2028. The rate Bezeq charges for wholesale fiber access will fall from NIS 72 ($21) to NIS 49 ($14) per household and from NIS 250 ($74) to NIS 150 ($44) per kilometer for infrastructure use.
