Jerusalem, 8 December, 2025 (TPS-IL) — Ben Gurion Airport is set for a major upgrade after the Israel Planning Administration approved a construction permit for Terminal 3. The project, valued at NIS 1 billion ($311 million), will add a new building featuring modern baggage-handling systems, check-in counters, offices, and unloading zones to handle growing passenger demand. The expansion also includes plans for a hotel on the building’s eastern rooftop, offering travelers direct access from the terminal.

The airport expects traffic to increase from 19 million passengers in 2025 to 22 million in 2026, bringing it closer to international standards.
